today was a drizzly one. cricket kept lila and i warm and dry in her beautiful, wood-rich cabin while i read "how to" books, and made...

oh... p.s. the song is called "alleghany" and is by one of america's folk-music jewels, bill stains. we drove thru these lovely mountains on the pennsylvania turnpike (my first time in the daylight!) wow! beauty abounds! the words of this song spoke to us as we drove all starry eyed.

ReplyDeleteBen, I watched your video again and was really impressed. Very nicely done with work to match up the video and stills with the lyrics of the song. I like the comment near the end when you're looking for the Cricket . . . "it's not here" (gulp!). Then what? Glad you found it (to say the least). Might I suggest an off-topic video (at least off the topic of the boat) and that would be you and your guitar playing a song? Just a suggestion. Keith J
